History of Craven

 written by the Yorkshire historian, Harry Speight, whose early works were published while he was Cashier at Ripley's Dyeworks, West Bowling, Bradford and appeared under the name 'Johnnie Gray'. As a writer Speight had a unique combination of original historical/genealogical research and a feel for landscape and nature.
