History of Halifax

 The History of Halifax covers the history of the parish from pre-Roman times to the 1880s. It includes information about the Gibbet law, and also the townships within the parish etc. There are additionally a few plates, including a plan of the town of Halifax.  The Halifax Guardian's Almanac 1908 includes photographs and information on people and places and happenings for the year 1908. There are lots of names of individuals, include lists of those on the council etc.
