History of Scarborough

 Two books with the same titles, but written 50 years apart. There is little duplication between them, for instance Baker's covers Prehistoric times, whereas Rowntree's starts with the Roman period. There is good coverage of the Castle, port and harbour along with churches, non-conformists etc. Unfortunately, there is no index in the earlier book (not a problem on the CDrom, as that is searchable).
